A postcard from Cannes
I'm on the Croisette this week. Come and say hello.
Hello there,
I'm at Cannes Lions all week (22 to 26 June), watching the world's best work get its moment in the sun. If you're here too, just hit reply. I'd genuinely love to grab a coffee (or something colder) and say hi in person.
While the juries lock themselves away, here are three pieces I think will win big this year.

Are you here too?
Reply to this email and we'll find 20 minutes on the Croisette. Always lovely to meet a fellow knowledge seeker in the wild.

My three to watch
Work I think will win big this week
South Africa · Titanium shortlist
The Philipstown WireCar Grand Prix
Township wire-car craft turned into a full-blown Grand Prix. I lived in SA and know the people behind this one, and it's pure joy and pure ingenuity.

Anthropic · the AI talking point
Claude: ‘A Time and a Place’
A genuinely lovely piece of film-making, and proof that the smartest tech story is still a deeply human one.
LEGO · the crowd-pleaser
The F1 Miami Grand Prix, in bricks
Ten fully driveable Formula 1 cars built almost entirely out of LEGO. Spectacle that absolutely earns its place.

As always, we'll be blogging the Grand Prix winners each day over at 42courses.com/blog, so keep an eye on the site.
My money's on the WireCar for a Titanium... I may be biased though, as the folks behind it are friends :)
Big love,
Chris & the 42courses team x

p.s. We're doing a big redesign of our website, please do have a look, hope you like it. Lots of easter eggs to find too!
p.p.s. Want to train your eye like a juror before the winners drop? Our Advertising Masters course pulls apart exactly why the great work works.
