Hello you savvy savant!

What does it take to be a good leader?

This is a question, we think, that not enough people are asking in this day and age.

One of the qualities of a good leader that comes up again and again is that of being a good listener. A few weeks ago we got to chat to a Hostage Negotiator who explains exactly how this skill saves lives.

You can learn more about that here, and other aspects of great leadership below 🤩

Have a marvellous week!

THE TUESDAY TAKEAWAY 💡

"An investment in knowledge pays the best interest" said Benjamin Franklin, so why not start with what some of the wisest investors had to say?

Here's a fun collection of 42 Of The Best Quotes On Investing to help you wrap your head around one of the most counterintuitive, but important things we should all do.

COURSE OF THE WEEK 🏆

Sometimes, in 2025, it can feel like the world has gone mad. When leaders of big companies advise leaders of big countries to cut down aid to the poor, well, it doesn't exactly make us want to trust them.

So this week we'd like to focus on one of the most underrated skills out there - CREATIVE LEADERSHIP.

It's all about teamwork, culture, and, of course, showing you ways to enable creativity and great ideas to flourish. If you ever need to work with other people and wish you could make your place of work a happier place then take this course, we guarantee it will help you.

Award-winning professionals like Sir John Hegarty teach the course, and you'll earn an incredible certification from Cannes Lions too.

Here's what one of our learners had to say:

"If you have responsibility in a brand, organization, or a team, please take this course and begin to practice being a creative type of leader at least for yourself through your life journey, that is deadly essential" - Jawad S ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

WHAT MAKES THIS AD GREAT

This year's Super Bowl commercials left us...longing for a time when ads were actually clever. So here's a great one from the archives, written by Charles Saatchi himself.

The fact that this ad is ugly almost draws attention to the copy that is so good, it makes your hairs stand on end.

It literally inadvertently draws attention to Selfridge's summer sale, by casually, cooly, and ever so nonchalantly implying that people are so desperate to get in, they're willing to camp outside the store before the doors open.

It's a soft sell, sassy as hell, and social proof at its finest. Charles Saatchi makes the reader think, "damn, if so many people are willing to wait in line, I better check it out."

If you love good ads like we do, learn how to make them in our Advertising Masters course.
