Hello there, you legend and scholar!
Philosopher is a word to describe someone who loves knowledge - "philo" from Greek, means "to love", and "sophos" also Greek, means wise, or wisdom.
Since you're reading this newsletter about learnable things, you are probably a philospher! But we'd like to introduce you to another - check out our podcast with Erik Angner below on how he thinks economics can save the world.
As for our little experiment last week - the results are in. Most readers of this newsletter chose to watch our favourite behavioural scientist, Rory Sutherland, on Youtube shorts, with Instagram reels in second, and the problem child, TikTok, in third.
Keep your eye on your favourite platform though, we're releasing new behavioural science videos all the time!

THE TUESDAY TAKEAWAY π‘
We recently got to interview Erik Angner, who is a philosopher, economist, and the author of the book, "How economics can save the world".
Here at 42courses, we often playfully poke fun at classical economics for not taking real human behaviour into account, but this conversation gave us hope, and reminded us that "science is your friend."
We discussed how economics and philosophy need to come together to tackle big issues like climate change and poverty. He talks about why itβs so important to make economics easy to understand for everyone, and how being able to trust experts can make a real difference.
Watch it here, or listen to it here.

In celebration of international Lego day (an incredible feat of advertising in and of itself) we thought we'd take a look at one of our favourite ads from Lego.
Yes, the Lego movie was big, brilliant, and groundbreaking, but we'd like to focus on this simple print campaign because each one carries the exact same message as the movie, in a radically stripped back, simplified form.
Without a single word, these print ads tell the story of Lego's most important asset: imagination.
It's a masterclass in simplicity.
If you love good ads like we do, learn how to make them in our Advertising Masters course.
