CANNES YOU NUDGE IT?
COURSE OF THE WEEK 🏆
In the age of AI, is copywriting still a necessary skill?

The answer is an overwhelming YES for anyone who has ever used ChatGPT.

Until they get much better, generative AI will still be no match for great copywriters, and knowing the difference between acceptable and fantastic copy will be more important than ever.

Our Copywriting course, taught by industry legends like Vikki Ross, Steve Harrison, Kate Toon, Derek Walker, and many more, will teach you how to persuade with words, tell stories that captivate, and discern the good from the great.

Here's what one of our learners had to say:

"You’ll only write award worthy copies by the time you’re done 💯" - Tosin O ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐
THE TUESDAY TAKEAWAY💡

Talk about standing the test of time, it's still hard to beat David Ogilvy's advice to copywriters. For example,

"Don't address your readers as though they are gathered together in a stadium. When people read your copy, they are alone. Pretend you are writing each of them a letter on behalf of your client."

As relevant in the age of AI is it was in the era of Mad Men, here are 12 Copywriting Tips from the father of advertising himself.

WHAT MAKES THIS AD GREAT
This is the face of defeat, excellently portrayed by an employee of Sammakorn, a Thai housing company.

Why?

Sammakorn's biggest problem is that they frequently and frustratingly get confused with Sanpakorn, Thailand's revenue department. And that is genuinely what this five-minute film is about.

Don't balk—it won a Gold Cannes Lion for good reason. It's utterly hilarious, especially for anyone who has ever been frustrated with customer service (on both sides). It's unexpected yet relatable, and it features that all-too-rare quality in advertising: self-deprecating humour.

If you love good ads like we do, find out how to make them in our Advertising Essentials course.
